What to Expect After Treatment

Shortly after treatment, the area may appear white or pale, followed by mild redness.

Within 1–3 days, a small crust or flaking may appear — do not touch or remove it.

After 7–10 days, the crust will naturally fall off, revealing new, healthy skin underneath.

In some cases, no crust forms — the wart simply disappears as the new skin pushes it out from within.

A small blister can also occur. Each body responds differently, which is completely normal.
Aftercare Instructions
1. Cleansing & Care
Cleanse the area gently using mild, fragrance-free (0%) soap and lukewarm water.
Pat dry carefully — do not rub.
2. Prevent Irritation
Avoid:

Tight clothing or friction on the treated area

Saunas, hot baths, or intense exercise
until the skin has completely healed.
3. Sun Protection
Protect the treated area from UV exposure for at least 4 weeks.
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and cover the area if possible.
4. Watch for Warning Signs
Contact us if you experience severe pain, swelling, pus formation, or persistent redness after 7–10 days.
(Thankfully, this has not occurred in our patients to date.)
5. Follow-Up
In some cases, we may recommend a follow-up or repeat session, especially for larger or deeper warts.
Because the HPV virus is invisible to the eye, we often advise one “better safe than sorry” additional treatment —
though the final decision is always yours.
