HPV-virus protection is an important topic. Vaccination or immune system optimization? Less sex?
HPV protection comes in 3 choices; changing sexual behavior, vaccination or immune system optimization which not only protects you from the HPV virus but also other health risks.
The possible consequences of the HPV-virus; the virus can cause nasty surprises such as cervical cancer, penile cancer, anus cancer, mouth and throat cancer, genital warts and vulvar and vaginal cancer.
We lift 1 out; HPV can lead to penile cancer
Did you know that 30-50% of all penile cancer cases are linked to human papillomavirus (HPV)?
What is HPV? HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a common virus in which 80-90% of people contract an infection during their lifetime. In most cases, it goes undetected, and the immune system removes the virus on its own within two years. However, this does not always happen. Rosenberg has clients knocking on the door for help who have been struggling with HPV for 10 years.
HPV and penile cancer If the body does not remove the virus, HPV can lead to genital warts and several types of cancer, including penile cancer. About 30-50% of penile cancer diagnoses are attributed to HPV infection. In addition, HPV can also cause tumors in the oral and pharynx, as well as the anus.
The effects of HPV later in life;
Cancer caused by HPV often does not develop until later in life. In 4 out of 10 men, HPV plays a role in the development of penile cancer or its precursor. Every year, nearly 400 men and more than 1,100 women in the Netherlands are affected by HPV-related cancers. About 600 people die from it.
How is HPV transmitted?
HPV is spread primarily through sexual contact, such as during vaginal, anal or oral sex, but it can also be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact during sexual activity. The virus is highly contagious; one can contract genital warts even by sharing a towel with an infected person.
Changing sexual behavior
This is of course very difficult but very obvious, have as few alternating contacts as possible, use a condom (certainly not a guarantee). Then we have the vaccination option but what Rosenberg is mainly advocating is optimizing our immune system.
Vaccination against the HPV
New are the vaccinations that seem to work especially well if a person is not yet sexually active when vaccinated. There are 107 different HPV viruses. The vaccination covers the most threatening types.
Strengthening our immune system
If strengthening our microbiome is promoted we will have less HPV infections, less cancer, cardiovascular diseases, depression, ADHD, Autism, MS, cancer, Altzheimer's, Osteoarthritis, obesity and related diseases and there are many. So yes vaccinating is fine but according to Rosenberg we create a world of false security because if the immune system is not in order there are so many other diseases lurking as listed above. The clients who visit my practice often volunteer to improve their lifestyle after having their warts removed. For this the practice also offers microbiome therapy but during the treatment you already get many useful tips. In the end, over time, they are glad they had warts. They received an insight gift that made them live healthier, feel finer about their bodies, have more energy and a happier state of mind. Rosenberg is a strong advocate of preventive health care rather than (the sometimes necessary) symptom control.
